DAY 1 – BRATISLAVA
Arrival in Bratislava by own bus, guided tour of the Old Town and castle of Bratislava.
DAY 2 – BANSKÁ ŠTAVNICA – KREMNICA – BANSKÁ BYSTRICA
Departure from Bratislava to Banska Stiavnica – medieval city and mining protected by UNESCO. Guided tour of the city and the outdoor mining museum – entrance to the mine. Lunch in a restaurant in Banská Štiavnica. Tour of Kremnica (known through the centuries-old tradition of the mint coins and and gold deposits). Visiting the National Mint. Transfer to the city of Banska Bystrica, dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 – BANSKÁ BYSTRICA – DOMICA CAVE – KOŠICE
After a tour of Banska Bystrica you move in Eastern Slovakia. On the way visit the Domica Cave (protected by UNESCO). After a quick lunch we visit the Krasna Horka castle and Betliar Manor house. Dinner and overnight in Kosice.
DAY 4 – KOŠICE – BARDEJOV
KOSICE – metropolis of Eastern Slovakia, a tour of the most interesting monuments of the city of Kosice. Departure for Bardejov. Lunch on the road. Stop at the Spa of Bardejov, visit the spa area and outdoor museum, dinner and overnight at Bardejov.
DAY 5 – BARDEJOV – WOODEN CHURCHES
In the morning guided tour of the city of Bardejov protected by UNESCO and the wooden churches that are located nearby. Lunch on the road, in the evening transfer to Levoca, dinner and overnight.
DAY 6 – LEVOČA – SPIŠ CASTLE – HIGH TATRAS
Levoca – a tour of the well-preserved medieval city, visit the Gothic church of St James where are the largest wooden Gothic altar in the world, the masterpiece of Master Paul from Levoca. Transfer to Spis Castle – the largest medieval castle in central Europe. Lunch. Visit of Spisska Kapitula and the Church of the Holy Spirit in Zehra with precious frescos. Transfer in the Tatra Mountains, dinner and overnight in Strbske Pleso.
DAY 7 – ŠTRBSKÉ PLESO – VLKOLÍNEC – BRATISLAVA
After a short walk to Strbske Pleso you move to Vlkolinec – the village known for its preserved wooden architecture and protected by UNESCO. On the way back to Bratislava brief stop in Rajecka Lesna to visit the largest wooden crib in motion in Central Europe. Dinner and overnight in Bratislava.
DAY 8 – RETURN
Breakfast and return home.
